No news of Mr.Naimi and his family’s whereabouts, Baha’i citizens in Iran***

AAED - After more than 26 days from the arrestment of Naimi’s family in Tehran, there is still no exact information and news about the charges, places of imprisonments and physical conditions of all the family members: Aadel Naimi, Shamim Naimi and Elham Farahani.

Based on the recent reports to the Human Right section o
f “Population of combat against educational discrimination”, in addition to the Naimi family, the status and whereabouts of all other Bahais, arrested on that same day, are still unclear. The authorities are giving contradictory information which raises concerns.

On july 10th and 11th, the homes and workplaces of a large number of Baha’is were investigated, and they were consequently arrested. The detainees are: Nasim Ashrafi, Sarang Etehadi, Jinus Rahimi, Shahab Dehghani, Aadel Naemi, Elham Farahani, Shamim Naemi, Amir Maghamifar, Amir Mazidi, Nahid Zahrayi and Shomeys Mohajeri. Two of them have been recently released on bail.

It is noteworthy to mention that in recent days, a large number of Baha'i citizens have been illegally arrested or summoned to the security organs in the cities of Isfahan, Mashhad, Shiraz, Semnan, Tehran, Yazd, Kerman, Arak and Ghaemshahr.
